Bottlegourd with Roasted Moongdal


Ingredients:
Bottlegourd (chopped) - 2 cups
Green chillies (slit) - 3 nos
Ginger (grated) - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Mustard seeds
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Yellow split moongdal - 1/4 cup
Grated coconut - 2 tsp
Salt
Oil

To Powder:
Yellow split moongdal - 1/4 cup
Pepper corn - 5 nos

Method:
* Dry roast the moongdal and grind as bit coarse powder,keep aside.
* Heat enough oil,let splutters the mustard seeds,urad dal,add the grated ginger,slit opened green chillies,curry leaves, fry for few minutes, immediately add the chopped bottlegourd pieces and salt,saute for few minutes, sprinkle water and cook until the veggies turns soft.
* finally add the grounded moongdal powder and grated coconut to the cooked veggies.
* Stir everything together until the veggies gets well coated with the roasted moongdal powder.
