Idly_Sambar (Nagu Style)


Ingredients:
Moong Dal - 1 cup
Green chilli - 3 nos
Onion - 1 no
Curry leaves - few
Tomatos - 2 nos
Potato - 1 no (option)
Mustard - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Red Chilli - 2 nos
Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tsp

Method:
* In a pressure cooker add moong dhal,onion,tomato,curry leaves, Green chilli,potato (Chopped) and turmeric powder. Add enough water,Bring to 3-4 whistle.Then smash it and put little tamarind juice. (If u add tamarind juice, put one tomato.)
* In a small kadai heat oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilli and Asafoetida. Fry it for a while and add it into cooked dal.
* Serve it hot with idly,dosa or chappati :)
