Mushroom_Gravy


Ingredients:
Mushroom - 1 cup
Onion - 1 no (sliced)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp

>To Grind 1:
Small onion or Shallots - 15 nos or 7 nos (Shallots)
Fry with little oil and Grind it as a paste. Keep it aside.This is called Paste 1.

To Grind 2:
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Whole Pepper - 8 nos
Red Chilli - 4 to 5 nos
Fennel seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cardamom seeds - 8 to 9 (Only seeds)

Just fry all the above ingredients together with little oil. Grind it as a paste and keep it aside. This is called Paste 2.

To Grind 3:
Coconut - 1 cup
Just Grind this 1 cup of coconut and keep it aside.This is called Paste 3.

Method:
* In small pan add little oil and fry the washed and Chopped Mushrooms. Let it fry for 5 min.
* In kadai add oil. Once it hot, add sliced onions, Curry leaves and fry it well.Once it truns light brown add Paste 1 and half cooked mushroom together and fry it for 5 to 10 min.
* Now add Paste 2 and mix it well. Add turmeric powder and salt. Add 1/2 cup of water. Let cook it for 10 to 15 min. Close with lid.
* Once raw smell gone, add Paste 3. Allow to cook it for 5 min.
* Add coriander leaves and serve it hot.


Note: I got this recipe from Padma's blog. Thanks Padma:). She made it with chicken.So u can try with chicken too. :)

Special: She didn't use Tomato and G&G paste. It was so yummy. I felt some of sour taste, which is we can get it from tomato. But I don't know from where it came. ::)Anyway It's really wonderful in taste without tomato,G&G paste.Once again thank u very much padma to share this nice recipe. :)
