Paruppu(Moong dal)_Paayasam


Ingredients:
Paasi paruppu (Moong dal) - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Vellam (Jaggery) - 2 cups
Cardamom (Elakkai) - 3 nos
Cashewnuts - 10
Raisins (thirasai) - 8
Ghee - 5 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp

Method:
* In a pan fry moong dal with little ghee.
* Then boil this fried moong dal in 1 cup water (if u need u can water)
* Once it half cooked add milk, cardamom and cook for 5 more min.
* Now add Jaggery. Now keep the stove in low flame.
* Now add Grated Coconut (u can add grind coconut paste too)
* In an another small pan add ghee and heat it. Then add Cashewnuts and Raisins.
Once it trun golden add into that payasam.
