Paruppu_Vada
Ingredients:
Chana dal (Kadalai paruppu)- 1 cup
Onion- 2
Green chili- 4
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tpsp
Curry leaves- few
Aniseed (Sombu) - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - 3 tsp
Mint Leaves - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - fry
Method:
*Soak Chana dal for 2 hours. Cut Onion, Green chili, Curry leaves, Coriander leaves and mint. Keep all this aside.
* Grind Chana dal without adding any water. (If it not grinding in mixy add very little water)
* Mix Onion,salt,Green chili and Curry leaves, coriander & mint leaves, G&G paste, Cumin seeds, Aniseed with ground items.
* Take a small amount of mix,shape them into round and flatten in the palm of your
hand and deep-fry in vegetable oil till light-golden-brown. Drain the oil by placing it in the paper towel.
* Serve it hot with a cup of tea or coffee.
Note: You can freeze it after making masala vadas. Just microwave it when its needed. Not very crispy when you heat it after freezing. But the taste wont varies....
