Ingredients:
Chicken - 2 lb
Shallots - 5 nos
Tomatos - 1 (big size)
Green chilli - 2 nos
Curry leaves - few
Aniseed (Sombu) - 1 tsp
Clove - 1
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
Chilli powder -3 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Turmeric powder - one pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil - for fry
To Grind:
Shallots - 5 nos
Red chilli - 7
Cumin (sirakam) - 1 tbsp
Whole black pepper - 8 nos
Clove - 1
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves
Aniseed (Sombu) - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 3 tbsp (Swich off the stove and add coconut)
Method:
* Fry all the above Grind items one by one (As given above) and swich off the stove, then add coconut.
* Once it's cool down grind it as a paste and keep it aside.
* In a pan add oil, once it hot add aniseed, Cinnamon stick, clove.
* Then add Tumeric powder, chopped sallot (onion), Green chilli and curry leaves.
* Once onion cooked add chopped tomatoes and cool well.
* Once tomato cooked well add chicken.
* Fry it for a while.
* Add Chilli powder, Coriander powder and fry it until raw small is gone.
* Add 3 cups of water and close it with lid.
* Once chicken got half cooked, add grinded paste, salt and close it with lid.
* Cook it for 15 min. Once chicken cooked swich off the stove.
Note: U can dring this kozhambu, It's very good for cold.
It's go with Rice, Dosa and idly very well. :)
