Nei_Urundai (Paasiparuppu Urundai)



Ingredients: 

Yellow Moong Dal -  1/2 cup
Powdered Sugar -  1/2 cup
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Cashew nuts (broken) - 2 tbsp
Whole Milk - 2 - 3 tbsp
Cardamom - 3 nos



Method: 

* Dry roast moong dal in medium flame well until it turns golden brown in colour.Cool down and powder it finely into a powder.If mixer gets hot while grinding, rest it for a while and continue to avoid damage to the machine.Sieve it to get a fine powder

Powder brown sugar too in the same way into a fine powder along with cardamom or use unrefined cane sugar.  

 In a pan, add ghee and when it hot, add cashew nuts and saute until it slightly changes in colour.


* Add that hot ghee and cashew mixture to the powder and when it's still warm shape them into small laddoos (If the ladoos don't hold their shape, sprinkle some milk little by little until you are able to make smooth ladoos).

* Keep it in a tight bowl.
