Grapefruit_Rice


Ingredience:
Cooked Rice - 2 cups
GrapeFruit juice - 1 cup
Black Gram (uludham paruppu odachathu) - 3 tbsp
Hing - 1 tsp
Green chili - 5
Mustard - 1 tsp
Turmaric powder - 1 tsp
Cashuew nuts - 10 nos
Curry leaves - 10 nos
oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method:
* For Cooked rice - Wash the rice. Add 2 cups of water and soak it for a while, then cook it (1 whistle is enough).
* Keep this rice as side and make it cool.
* In a pan Add oil, when it hot add mustard, once it pop up add turmeric powder and Hing powder.Then add Black Gram, fry it up to light golden color.
* Then add Green chili and cashew nuts.Fry it for a while.Add curry leaves. Now switch off the stove and then add Grapefruit juice and salt.
* Mix the cooked rice with Grapefruit juice.Add some Coriander leaves.

Note: While adding the grapefruit juice the stove should be off.

  2. Thanks savitha. I got this fruit from Saibaba temple. It's so sour taste and it smells like "Kollumicham pazham" (in tamil). I love kollumicham pazham saadam. So I tried with this. It came well and very tasty too.
