Rava_Idly
Ingredients:
Wheat sooji/rava (medium thick) - 1 cup
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Grated and crushed ginger - 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped green chilies - 2 to 3 nos
Chana daal - 1 tsp
Black Gram - 2 tsp
ENO fruit salt - 1 tsp
Cashews - 10 nos
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves
yogurt/curd - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Oil - to fry
Salt
Method:
* Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they start popping, add chana daal , Black Gram, Cashewnuts, curry leaves and fry for sometime. Switch off the heat and immediately add sooji, mix well.
* Make it cool.
* In cup add curd,salt,Green chilli, Ginger, coriander leaves and mix it well.
* Pour this mix in to cold sooji and add water then mix it well.
* Then add Eno fruit salt and keep it aside for a while.
* Grease an idli stand. Keep half cashew and then put the mixture on top (so that when the idlis are removed, the cashews can be seen on the top). Steam for around 12-15mins.Serve hot.
Note: IT will go with coriander chutney very well.
