Ingredients:
Toor Dal - 1/4 cup
Water - 3 to 4 cups
Tomato - 2 nos
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Red chili - 3 nos
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Lemon - 1 no (if it is small use 2 nos)
To Grind:
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper corn - 1 & 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 15 nos
Garlic - 4 cloves
Method:
* Boil Toor dal, Tomatoes and Turmeric with 3 to 4 cups of water. Once it cooked well keep it aside.
* Grind above things and keep it aside.
* In a pan, heat the oil and add the mustard seeds. When these start to splutter, add Red chilli, curry leaves and fry till the chilies turn dark brown.
* Pour Cooked dal mix into this, and then add Ground paste. Let it boil for 10 min.
* Take it out from the stove and add lemon juice.
* Lemon rasam is ready, Serve it hot.
