Methi_Keerai_Puli_Kuzhambu
Ingredients:
Methi leaves-1 bunch
Onion- 1 medium (chopped)
Tomatoes - 2 small (chopped)
Garlic-6 cloves (chopped)
Tamarind extract-half cup
Fenugreek seeds -1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
Mustard- 3/4 tsp
Curry leaves -1 sprig
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1tbsp
Sambar powder - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil - 1 1/2 tsp
Method:
* Wash and chop the vendhaya keerai (Methi leaves) roughly
* In a kadai heat oil and add mustard, methi, jeera and hing
* Let them splutter and add curry leaves
* Then add the onions ,garlic,Saute them well till they give out nice aroma.
* Then add the tomatoes and methi leaves and saute them well.
* Now it is time to add the chilli powder,coriander powder,sambar powder and salt.Saute it until raw smell is gone.
* Finally add tamarind extract and let them boil for 10 mins on medium heat.
* If u want, u can add little coconut powder at the last.
