Kohlrabi_Gravy (Noolkol)




Ingredients:
Kholrabi - 1 no
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 & 1/2 tbsp
pepper powder - 1 tsp
salt to taste
Oil - 1 tsp

To Grind:
Oil - 1 tsp
Ani seeds - 1 tsp
Garlic - 5 cloves
Ginger - 1 inch
Onion - 2 nos
Tomato - 1 no



Method:
* Cut the kholrabi as small pieces. In a cooker add kholrabi pieces,Coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder,salt and little water. Allow 2 whistles,then let it cool.
* Meantime in pan heat oil, add aniseed fry it little. Add Ginger and garlic and fry it for a while.
* Now add onions and fry it well, Add tomato fry it for 10 min.
* Make it cool and Grind it well as paste.
* In the same pan add little oil and pure this paste, mix it well.allow to cook for a while.
* Now add the cooked veg along with water.Then add salt.Now add curry leaves
* Cook it in high flame until thick gravy comes.
* Garnish with coriander leaves. Close with lid for a while.
* Serve it hot.

Note: It goes with Rice,Dosa, Idly and Chapati
