Chicken_Mushroom_Curry
Ingredients:
Chicken - Legs,Thighs and wings - each 2 nos
Mushroom - 10 nos (button mushroom)
Patta/cinnamon - 2
Cardamom - 2
Grambu/cloves - 4
Bay leaves -2
Ani seeds- 1tsp
Star anise - 2 nos
Onion - 2 nos (chopped)
Curry leaves - few
Tomato - 1 no
Green chilli - 2 nos
G & G paste - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - few
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Garam masala - 1 tbsp
Chicken masala - 2 tbsp
Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
To Grind:
Cashewnuts - 8 no
Pottu kadalai/udacha kadalai - 1 tbsp
Method:
* Heat 2 tbsp of Ghee and oil in a cooker, add the ani seed,cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, Bay leaves, Annachi mokku and after roasting a little add sliced onion, Curry leaves and Green chilli.
* Add G & G paste and fry it until raw small is gone.
* Then add Tomatoes and fry it well. Then add Turmeric powder, Salt, Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Garam masala and chicken powder.Fry it 5 more mins.
* Now add chicken and Mushroom ,then fry it for a while.
* Then add requied water and make 2 whistles. Make it cool.
* Add Coconut milk.
* Now Grind the Cashewnuts and Pottukadalai together. Then add into it.
* Let it cook for some more min in low flame.
* Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve it hot.
Note: It goes with rice very well.
