Veg Burger
Ingredients for Veg Patties:
onions finely chopped - 1 big onion
Steamed vegetables (cauliflower, beans,carrots,Sweet pepper) chopped fine - 2
Ggreen peas parboiled - 1/4 cups
Potato(es) boiled and chopped fine - 2 big
Beetroot(s) boiled and chopped fine - 2 small
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon(s)
Chopped fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoon(s)
salt to taste
oil for shallow
frying Grind to a paste:
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Green chilli(es) finely chopped - 4
small onion(s) chopped (Shallots) - 1
Grlic(s) chopped - 4 flakes
Ginger chopped - 1 inch
Clove(s) - 2
Cinnamon - 1 inch
2 tablespoon(s) coriander leaves chopped
salt to taste
Method:
* Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions on medium heat for about 3 minutes or till they become transparent.
* Add the ground paste and fry for about 2 minutes or till aromatic and the raw smell has gone.
* Mix in the steamed mixed vegetables. Stir-fry on high heat briefly till the vegatables are well coated with the paste.
* Add the boiled potato and boiled beetroot.
* Sprinkle salt to taste and mix well. Let it cool.
* Stir in the lemon juice and chopped fresh coriander leaves.
*Shape the mixture into patties.
* Heat a Dosa pan. Place 2 to 3 patties on the pan and fry on each side (drizzle some oil while flipping the patties) till both the sides are golden brown. Fry the remaining patties in the same way.
TIPS:
Beetroot makes the patties very colorful and is nutritious too!
Chillies can be increased or decreased as desired.
Burger:
Sandwich Bread or ordinary Bread
vegenaise or mayonice for dressing
luttuce
Small tomatoes
Olives
White onions
Sweet Peppers
If u like anything else u can add it.
* You can make burger using Veg patties along with above things as shown in picture.
